A successful opening event and fruitful workshops

The opening event of the Joint Lab Artificial Intelligence & Data Science took place on October 12th and 13th in Osnabrück. The program was a successful mix of informative lectures, group work and plenty of opportunities for exchange.

At the official start on October 12th, representatives from the participating universities, the ATB, the DFKI Laboratory Lower Saxony, the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture (MWK), and invited guests gathered at the Coppenrath Innovation Centre for a program of stimulating talks. All guests were very impressed by both the speakers and the newly opened event room.

Following the opening event, an internal workshop with the members of the Joint Lab took place on September 13th. The focus was on intensifying cooperation, especially regarding future joint projects.

For most of the doctoral students, it was the first time that they were able to get to know many of the members from both locations. The personal exchange during group work as well as during cozy coffee and meal breaks excellently supported the good and productive collaboration.
